Janus Supreme Court Decision

Regarding the Janus Supreme Court decision which became effective on June 27th, 2018, all corresponding Core-CT fees payer deduction changes will be in place for the check date of July 20th which covers the pay period beginning 6/22/2018 through pay period end 7/5/2018.

More specifically, the following changes will be in place for the check date of 7/20/2018:

  • Core-CT will be zeroing out all fees payer deductions that are linked to fees payer employees. Agency payroll offices do not have to manually zero out/close fees payer deductions, as this will be administered by Core-CT
  • Core-CT will be setting up new cancellation deduction codes for unions that will be denoted by a deduction code that begins with ‘UC’. Additional information regarding the new cancellation deduction codes will be sent out as soon as possible.
  • For reference, the Janus Decision can be found here.

All employees who wish to cancel their dues deductions should be referred to their unions directly.
