 Password Reset Procedure - REMINDER

When resetting passwords in Core-CT, please make sure you follow all steps below:

1. Navigate to the User Profile for the user seeking a password reset; 2. Verify that they are an active employee in your agency; 3. If 'Account Locked Out?' box is checked, uncheck it; 4. Click 'Change Password' field; 5. Enter 'New Password' and 'Confirm Password' fields; 6. Click 'Save'; 7. Click 'Return to Search'; 8. Go back into User Profile and select 'Password Expired?' and 'Save'.

Steps 7 and 8 above will ensure that the User will be required to update the temporary password; the (LASTPSWDCHANGE) field does not update when you change and expire the password in a single transaction.
