Core-CT HRMS Daily MailDate: 6/15/2017 Implementation of State Matching Contribution for Retirement Health The SEBAC 2011 Agreement required all healthcare-eligible employees to
contribute to the Retiree Health Fund for ten years. Effective July 1, 2017, the
State will begin matching the Retiree Health Fund contributions made by
employees. The Office of the State Comptroller’s Healthcare Policy and Benefit
Services Division published a memorandum today outlining the implementation
process. The memo is directed to Personnel and Payroll Officers, Chief
Administrative and Fiscal Officers and Business Managers and is available on the
State Comptroller’s website:
http://www.osc.ct.gov/2017memos/healthcare/201703hp.htm There are two new employer deductions to implement this change that Core-CT
will insert automatically: OPER and OTER. Agency Personnel and Payroll staff
should not remove these new deduction codes from employee records. Return to Core-CT HRMS Daily Mail Home Page
