As part of a cleanup effort to better align Retirement Deduction Codes specific to the SERS Tiers, 3 NEW Retirement Deduction codes have been created.
Currently, there are 3 SERS Hybrid Tiers, but only 2 deduction codes. The three new deduction codes will tie to each Hybrid Tier and be named for the plan and tier, not the contribution percent. The NEW Hybrid Deduction Codes and what they are replacing, are listed below.

These three new codes are effective as of 12/7/18 and should be used when setting up new hires, rehires, etc.

Current employees with deduction codes RSHY3 and RSHY5 will be UPDATED BY Core-CT with an end date of 12/6/18 and the appropriate new code will replace it with the effective date of 12/7/18. Higher Education agencies do not need to take any action in regards to these employees.
