Payroll Interfacing Agencies

Tax Update “C” from Oracle has been put into production and created a hard edit on the Additional Pay page. The issue of concern was if there were any incorrect or missing information on historical rows, users were unable to make any current entries on the page. A fix has been put into production to by-pass the edit for that page so it is now working correctly.

After researching an interface agency complaint for the above mentioned issue, it was found that agencies that interface can add any value on the page and the system accepts it whether it is correct or incorrect. For example: Earn codes are configured with either an hours entry or an amount entry ex: OT1 (entered with hours only), OT3 (entered with amount only).

Effective immediately agencies will no longer be able to deviate from the above mentioned configuration. Incorrect use of earning codes that should be hours vs amounts can no longer be used. Incorrect use will cause system issues potentially resulting in non-issuance of the employees paycheck.
