Core-CT HRMS Daily MailDate: 10/2/2019 Update Regarding Recording Swaps Several contracts allow employees to swap shifts. Employees who are or will be on an approved leave under state FMLA, federal FMLA, or SEBAC Supplemental leave may choose to swap shifts with another employee as a means to be paid while out on leave. This time must be counted toward use of the applicable leave entitlement(s). As a result, several new FMLA/Swap-related Time Reporting Codes have been established. Note that employees out on approved leave for their own qualifying illness are still required to use all sick accruals before engaging in a swap. Recording all swaps in Core-CT is mandatory whether it is being used during a qualifying FMLA event or not. For a non-FMLA related swap, the code remains REGS to record the time for the employee who was scheduled to work, but is not working due to a swap. Refer to the Time Reporting Codes job aid to identify the appropriate code to use for the person scheduled to work but who is not working due to a swap when that swap is FMLA related. ISWAP remains the code use for the employee who is working the shift on behalf of another employee in the case of both FMLA and non-FMLA related swaps. Return to Core-CT HRMS Daily Mail Home Page
