For the following situations: 1) employees with one record going from terminated and/or inactive to a rehire; or, 2) employees that have multi records where none are active; the rehire process must be done first before any changes are made to the Tax Data Screen. If an agency enters the employee’s tax information prior to the hire/rehire being completed, there is a Data Conflict and the hire/rehire can’t be done. Due to the new requirements regarding the 2020 W4, the above procedure must be followed.
